BD9479FV是白色LED用高效率驱动器，适用于大屏幕液晶驱动器。BD9479FV内置了可向光源（LED串联连接的阵列）提供适当电压的DCDC转换器。
BD9479FV中内置了应对异常状态的几种保护功能。过电压保护（OVP: over voltageprotection ） 、过电流检测（OCP: over current limitprotection of DCDC）、短路电路保护（SCP: short circuitprotection）、开路保护（open detection of LEDstring）等。因此，可在更宽的输出电压条件及负载条件下使用。
